Bring back fond memories!

Yesterday, I brought Isaac back to where I grew up.   I heard they are going to tear down most of the flats and the whole area is going for a revamp.  While walking around the place brought back lots of wonderful memories.   The swimming pool I used to go with my friends and cousin P.  The playground that I used to play, it is in the middle of our flat and from our flat we can see the whole playground.  I used to call my dad from our kitchen window when I see him coming home from work and see mom having taichi there.

The playground I used to spend many hours at has been revamp - the swing, the roundabout and several other play items are no longer around..

 

This is where I used to stay.  The RC is still around and the auntie and uncle is still siting downstair the Senior Citizen area.

Wow looking at this scrap page I feel time really pass us so quickly.  He was just learning how to turn and lift his head and now he is one year old and running around the whole house. 

I must really thank God for giving me this opportunity to be able to spend so much quality time with him.  I feel that it is so important for us to be able to spend these time with them cos they grew up so quickly and I am glad I have a part of it.

Isaac's first Zoo Trip

Yesterday we went to the Singapore Zoological Garden with Alviss and his mommy this morning.  We were suppose to meet other mommy from a meetup group but we were late becos we couldn't get a cab.  So we had to take a slow stroll down to the kidz world ourselves.  This picture is taken just outside the entrance next to the Ah Meng's Cafe and Ben & Jerry's.

We went pass several other venue like the Australian Outback, the Elephant Show, saw some penquins and sealions finally we reach Kidz World.  There we had our lunch and the kids have a dip at the water theme park. 

and around 2:30pm we finally head back to the main entrance to catch a cab back home.

All of us were tired but we all enjoyed ourselves so it was a good trip for us.

Isaac's First Birthday

We celebrated Isaac's first birthday with us on the 2nd January 2010 with friends and relatives.  We were supposed to have his party at the poolside but due to heavy downpour we were only able to have his cake cutting session there but overall we had a good and fun birthday.

HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR!

It's the start of a brand new year.  2009 has been a very eventful year for me and my family.  There were tears of sadness, there were also tear of joy ~ we lost 2 beloved grandpa in a row but we also got a little addition in our family. 

For 2010 I pray that everyone will have a fruitful and blessed New Year!
