My Little Sweetie Birthday!

Buffet from Delihub

Jelly from Mrs Chan

Cake from Flor Patisserie

We celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday last weekend.  We chose the Strawberry shortcake theme for her birthday and I recycled her brother's 1st birthday pinata into a strawberry theme pinata coz it is really difficult to find strawberry shortcake party ware here and I order a yummy strawberry shortcake cake from a Flor Patisserie - the cake is really soft and yummy with lots of strawberry.  We also order our food from Delihub and lots of yummy satay from Kwong Satay.

We also got the children to make little strawberry shortcake photo frames to bring home.
Overall the party was good and we all had a good time eating and chatting.

Thank you everyone who came for her birthday!

Mini Magnolia Pouch

My son and myself was down with the chicken pox virus since the middle of June.  It started with my son who was down with the virus than I was affected after his was healed.  We were blessed to have medication to control the infection and we were not affected by lots of poxs all over our body.

Since we were all house bound for these period it gives me some time to stay home and finished some of the crafts which I wanted to do a while ago.  I had been wanting to make these cute mini pouch using canvas fabric and some japanese fabric for the back of the pouch.

The images were hand stamped using versacraft inpad and then I used my copic pens to fill in the images.  Here are some of the finished products that I have sew.  Beside these mini pouch I've also complete some hair bows and hairclips which I am currently selling at my etsy.

21st Birthday

One of our cousin's daughter celebrated her 21st birthday last month at the Pasir Ris Chalet so I decided to do up a canvas page for her keepsake.  I used the stamp image from donna downey large foam stamp and one of my favourite Magnolia stamp image, some acrylic paint, glimmermist, flowers and a simple felt frame from Blueyedezines to complete the gift.

Here is the finished product:

Flower in a pot

I used left over canvas materials to make these lovely flower for my flower pot cards.

I was inspired by Splitcoaststampers video at you tube.  It was a lovely flower pot that they taught at the video and I added my canvas flower which I painted with various paints and added some glitter and a Swarovski crystal in the centre.  When the person received the card she can take out the flower pin and use it as a hair accessories or as a brooches.
Here are some of my flower pots card that I have complete the last few days!

So what have you been busy with for the month of May?  For me I had been busy finishing some cards cos had a order of 30 cards from a friend a while ago and every card had to be different.

This is one of the card that I have completed in the month of May.  The girl is from one of the Hanglar kit.  She is so cute and I used my copic pen to colour her, added some patterned paper and ribbon to complete the card.

Here is another card that I have completed:

For this card I've used the Magnolia range of stamp, my copic pen, doily paper and some patterned paper to complete the card.
Beside making cards I've also completed some altered craft like this canvas bag from Donna Downey and Prima.  I am truly inspired by her video that she shared in her blog.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I will be posting more cards in the next few days.

Received these Hanglar stamps from Sweden yesterday.

Can't wait to create some cards with these lovely stamps. These stamps are currently only available in Sweden and Norway and they are so yummy!

I stamped some images and use copics colours to colour the 2 images.

So love these stamps!  Guess will be spending some time making handmade stuff with these stamps.

Happy Year of the Tiger!

So how did your Chinese New Year went?

We had our reunion dinner at my place, the kids enjoyed themselves staying up late into the night and we had our favourite raw fish "Yu Sheng" at the strike of midnight to ursher in the new year.

It had been a rough Ox year for both me and hubby cos it has taken both our dad away.  But it was also the year where Isaac and Rebekah came to bring joy and comfort to our family.

We hope this year will be a better year for all in the family!

So how did my week went?

So what have you been doing this week? Chinese New Year is round the corner and yes my week from Monday was a really busy week for me.  Although we will not be having any festive decoration at home but we will still have our reunion dinner with the whole family and lots of goodies for friends and relative who are visiting us.

So how did my week went? On Monday was chatting with July about about how beautiful her handmade journal was.  She told me it was pretty easy to do so I decide to buy the material and have her come over to my place to teach me to handmade them.

We went to Laines followed by Art Friend and bought all the materials needed and she came over to show me how to put together a journal.  After she went home I found some lovely materials that I have bought previously to sew my bags and made up these 2 lovely journals which I will be using to journal about my son.

You can also visit her blog to see all the lovely art piece that she is creating from time to time.  Thank you  July for showing me how to handmade these lovely journal.

Yesterday I went with Endina, Alviss, my mom, Isaac and Melissa to IMM to do some last minute shopping, bought some stuff for Isaac put some of my sample stock at some of the children retail store for their consideration.  We came home and all were so tired had a afternoon nap and made some cards which are going for sale this coming March.

Today we went over to 2nd auntie place at Bedok to pick up our traditional "Nian Gao" or sticky cake which is one of my favourite will take some picture of it.  This cake is different from the rest selling in the market cos it's got lots of different nuts in it and it's really yummy.  Isaac had a fun time having cheese cakes and playing with the dogs.  Met up with my friend Fiona for lunch and gave her this little 6" x 6" journal and I am glad she likes it too!

So much for this week, will be busy preparing for the coming CNY.  Thank you for visiting my blog.  I wish everyone a very Happy n Prosperous Tiger New Year

More Cards for Sale

It's Saturday again! Next Saturday will be the eve of Chinese New Year and this year will be the year of tiger, have you done all your preparation yet?

For us this year will be a quite CNY, the chinese customs says that we are not supposed to celebrate CNY for the first three years upon the death of a family member.  So there will not be any decorate around the household nor will there be any big celebration.  I guess for me I will spend most of my CNY holidays doing more card and maybe sew some cute purse for sale at my friend's pushcart next month.

Here is a couple more cards that I have completed.
Thank you for visiting my blog and have a wonderful weekend! :)

Bring back fond memories!

Yesterday, I brought Isaac back to where I grew up.   I heard they are going to tear down most of the flats and the whole area is going for a revamp.  While walking around the place brought back lots of wonderful memories.   The swimming pool I used to go with my friends and cousin P.  The playground that I used to play, it is in the middle of our flat and from our flat we can see the whole playground.  I used to call my dad from our kitchen window when I see him coming home from work and see mom having taichi there.

Picture of mom and my son
I have walk this road more than a million times.

The swimming pool that I used to go
I used to wait for my friends here, The playground is on top the stairs.
My favourite playground up in the centre of our flat.
The playground I used to spend many hours at has been revamp - the swing, the roundabout and several other play items are no longer around..

This is where I used to stay.  The RC is still around and the auntie and uncle is still siting downstair the Senior Citizen area.
