Ailena and Caroline came with this cute dog to collect the Christmas items that they ordered from me and also to catch up for some afternoon tea.  (If you looked closely did you see a Singapore IC on the dog?)  Caroline bought my favourite cake and samosa from my fravourite store in Sunset Way.

We had a good time catching up and having tea and Isaac had his first close encounter with the dog.

Cute Mini Tote Bag

I sew all these mini tote bag with the sewing machine that my cousin gave me.  Got some orders from my friends who were giving them as Christmas present to their friends.

Got feedback from them that their friends love these little bag and I am happy to hear that!  Hope to sew some for my friends too in the future.  I sew some mini purse for my friends too to enclosed them with my Christmas cards to them.  Hope they will find them useful.

Maybe next year I will try sewing bigger bag and maybe attend a proper sewing class. :)

Going to be tear down!

This display niche has been with us for the last 10 years and today it is going to be taken down to make space for a new build in cupboard so that we can more storage space.

The workmanship of this cupboard were really good as till to date it is still in really good condition although it is a pity we have to tear it down but becos we needed more storage for things around our house so we have no choice but to forgo it.

It's Wednesday today, just went out for a little stroll around the estate with a friend and her son.  The weather here is still extremely warm!  Hope to see some rain soon!

Yesterday we went out with Kris to visit the new concept store in town called "Paper Market" @ Raffles City Shopping Mall.  The place is nice and bright, as usually I bought some lovely papers and embellishments.  Were so inspired by all the nice layouts that were displayed in store by their Inhouse Designers that I came home yesterday evening to complete this layout.

The paper is from Webster's Page "Your Life Beautiful" range, felt frames from Blueyedezines, flowers & crystals from Prima and lastly the fabric buttons from K&Co.

My flower die from Sizzix came in last week and had so much fun making this flower clip. My niece love it so much she uses it with her hairband and it looks great on her.

I used the stamps from Gorjuss Girl and flowers from Papertrey Ink and wording from Hero Art to complete this simple card.

The colour for Gorjuss Girl is coloured using my favourite copics pens.

Hello Kitty Phone

For all the Hello Kitty Fan - have anyone of you seen the new Limited Edition Hello Kitty phone from Sony Ericsson?
Last weekend while we were out for dinner saw this phone at one of the retailer shop.  I am so tempted to get one for myself.  Heard from the sales that this is a limited edition Hello Kitty phone.  It is just a basic phone but really cute.

Sunny Monday!

It's 3rd week of September and the weather here is really hot!
Last week were a fun week becos it's school holidays for the children.  Went out with my nieces, had fun meeting my friends, doing up some scrapbook pages and made some cards, meeting up with friends who are teachers and attended a workshop at Laines.  This week everyone is back to school and I'm also back to my routine.

The final shipment of my first scrapbook kit called the "Racial Harmony Kit" finally arrived early last week.  We've designed this scrapbook kit theme to shows the different races in Singapore.  We used the different cultural symbols or icons to design the different patterned papers and illustrates 3 sets of boys and girls from the 3 different races (chinese, malay and indian).  We had so much fun the last 2 months teaching the new citizens in Singapore to create scrapbook pages with the is kit for themselves and little scrapbook pages of encouragement for 3 local Children Homes in my neighbourhood.  Last week we brought the little album that were finished by the new citizens to the Homes and conducted a short scrapbook session for the children and they had so much fun doing their pages.

Mom's Birthday!

Over the last few days I did several 12" x 12" layouts and here is one of the special layout for my mom's birthday! It's a really simple layout on my mom's birthday celebration! I used the doodling paper from DCWV and some simple embellishment, bling bling and added a Magnolia stamped image to complete this 12" x 12" layout.

Last year dad was still around celebrating her birthday with her sitting just next to her. This year we really feel the sense of loss as he no longer sit here on her special day! But I hope with us celebrating her birthday with her she did still enjoyed her day!
Happy Birthday Mom! And we really miss you Pa!

Merry Merry Christmas to You!

You might be wondering why so early I am starting on my Christmas Cards making. Well, last year started my Christmas card making so late that ended up had to buy them off the shelves. So I tell myself this year I must start making my cards early so that I can get them off to the post by end of November. With the new Stanglar and Hangar stamps I created this non traditional colour theme card called "Merry Merry Christmas". I used bright sunny yellow card as background for this card added a handmade button, some lace and Christmas patterned paper from last year. Simply loving all the stamped images!
Will be posting more cards in the next few days!

New Stamps from Stanglar and Hanglar

Had always wanted to get some of these lovely stamps from Stanglar and Hanglar but they only sell them to people staying in Sweden and it had been really difficult to get any out of Sweden.

I must thank my cousin who got a whole lot of them for me as gift. I made several cards yesterday using these stamps and simply loving them all!
Here is one of the card I did using one of stamp called "Embrace Happiness". I used my copics colour pens to colour the stamped images and added some glaze to the star and pail.

This year has been really a sad year for me and my hubby. Both of us lost our father within a period of 3 months. March was my beloved dad and June was my beloved father in law who suddenly collasped and passed on in Taiwan while we were on our family trip there. We were all in the state of shock and unbelieve becos he had been so healthy.
We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, care and support!

Thank you for being there when I need you

The weather here is wet but after the rain it is pretty hot and humid these days. Had been staying home doing cards, jewellery and sewing bags for friends and relatives who had help and supported me so much during my recent loss.
Thi is a little 5" x 5" card that says "Thank you for being there when I need you". Little Tilda holding a bundle of hearts so sweet. I crochet the flower and used a brad to hold it to the card. Bought this ribbon with Ed a few months ago as for the patterned paper it is some leftover from my previous layout.

Sushi Sushi

Tried to make some sushi for lunch with my neighbour Rincy. It's pretty easy just need to add some salt, sugar and vinegar into the rice before cooking them then wait for the rice to cool then we can start rolling them into rolls.
We also used the bear and rabbit mould to mould some cute sushi for kids. The outcome was pretty good and we had a yummy yummy sushi lunch.

P.S. I Love You

I used 2 new stamps from Magnolia to complete this card. It's a simple and sweet "P.S. I Love You" card. The patterned paper is from DCWV. Ribbon from a local ribbon store and the little mushroom peg from Daiso ~ they have lots of interesting embellishment that we can use and it's only $2 per packet so value for money.

Yesterday my friend Diana came over to learn how to sew a teddy bear and I showed her how I make my cards and she is also loving all the Magnolia stamps that I've got that's she is also going to pick up this interesting craft. Saw the latest Magnolia Easter collection and they are all so yummy think I'll order some today.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
